Wedding Makeup for Jean’s Special Day

I was lucky to be sent lots of great images from Marc Bowker of One Big Picture Photography – ones which he took last year at Jean and Davy’s big day.

Jean actively got involved in her bridal makeup, she very much knew what she wanted, and we did two trials, each using different colours and products so that she could be sure she got the desired look. This was great because on the day, she was nice and relaxed and I was comfortable knowing she’d be happy with the end result.

Jean and Davy used lots of local Inverclyde suppliers, which was really nice – it’s great to be able to support local businesses. It’s important to note though, that you don’t need to sacrifice on quality when you’re going local. I know from speaking to Jean that she was delighted with her flowers, her photos by One Big Picture, and wedding stationery from Carmen Creative. Her dress was also from local supplier Barony Brides, it was absolutely stunning, and her bridesmaids dresses were beautiful too.

So on the day I did makeup for bride Jean and her Mum. It was a lovely atmosphere with everyone in the family excited for the day ahead. While I was busy doing Jean’s makeup, Marc was capturing lots of pre-wedding moments, and according to the pictures he supplied me with, I got caught in some of them! So, because I very rarely get given so many photos, it only felt right to share them with you here on my blog. Thanks to bride Jean and to Marc for supplying these stunning images.
